Hello Bob, Alice may have been baptised in Holy Trinity, Hull for any number of reasons, but if she was living in Kirk Ella at the time of her marriage she would be 'of Kirk Ella'. I think the minimum time necessary to be thought 'of somewhere' was only six weeks. Also, may I add, there are hundreds of thousands of people not included on the IGI - just because you cannot find a person doesn't mean they didn't exist. Peter
