    1. Re: [ERY] The RANK family of the South HOLDERNESS and later Hull.
    2. Hi David, I've found a couple of minutes. (1) I have James' and Ellen's/Hellen's 1st child, Alice Jane born 1862? (2) You gave me 5 new children, but I have only just started building this tree - they also had Charles (b.1866) and Frank Stephenson (b.1868) - if there is no sighn of them later. (3) In your correspondence to this list dated 2001, you refer to Ellen being called Hellen in the 1881 census. She is also Hellen on her grave . She died 30 Mar 1907 at Malbro' Ave., Hull aged 74. Buried 2 Apr 1907. She is buried in the Hedon Rd. Cemetery ref. EYFHS booklet - MI No.194. Details taken from her grave and Drypool PRs. (4) You mentioned that she had a brother William. I have several STEPHENSONs in my databank including William STEPHENSON, b. Routh 1816, baptised 16 May 1816 at Routh, s/o Edward STEPHENSON and Sarah FEWSON. Also, Wm. b.1855 at Routh s/o Wm. STEPHENSON and Mary BARR. He married Sarah Jane SMITH --- Are they yours? Perhaps sometime you could let me have Ellen's/Hellen's ancestry and anything on the decendants. I have gathered a considerable amount, but there are always gaps - I have taken the RANKs back to ca.1669 and discovered I am linked to them through marriage to different families 6 times. My ambition is to discover that I am related to every family in the Holderness :-) Peter Fewson

    1. Hedon Road Burial Register

    3. Hi Everyone. I've just caught onto this thread and was hoping that I might be able to contribute as I have trawled through many years of Hedon Road Burial Register and would love to have heaps of time to transcribe them but sadly I don't. I can only do what I can when I can. I have STEPHENSON's from Drypool (from about 1840ish, before that Nafferton and Kilham) and so have noted many of them on the off chance that one day I might be able to slot them in somewhere. . I've looked for Hellen/Ellen and don't have a notation for her. If you have some other names I would certainly be happy to look for them but do need death dates. I have 5 families from that area of Hull and the other names are:- ROBERTS ROW WRIGHT CHADWICK (from 1900 onwards) but make a note of any of "my" names - just in case. They include:- DOBBS, BEARPARK, MORTON, TAYLOR, HODGKINSON, DIXON, DENNIS, BURKITT (various spellings) and LADLEY amongst the main lines but many other peripherals. I've found people from West Hull being buried there so one never knows.... ttfn Trish At 09:40 AM 10/25/2005, [email protected] wrote: >Hi David, > >I've found a couple of minutes. > >(1) I have James' and Ellen's/Hellen's 1st child, Alice Jane born 1862? > >(2) You gave me 5 new children, but I have only just started building this >tree - they also had Charles (b.1866) and Frank Stephenson (b.1868) - if >there >is no sighn of them later. > >(3) In your correspondence to this list dated 2001, you refer to Ellen >being called Hellen in the 1881 census. 1. Re: [ERY] Hedon Road Burial Register
    2. Hi Trish Hope you enjoyed your visit to your homeland and found what you had been looking for. I note you have DIXON on your list but don't recall having asked you about this before. DIXON and STEPHENSON are both on my list. What are your DIXON names? This is a common name so I will be surprised if there is a link between ours. I have Sarah Ann STEPHENSON born in Drypool in 1844. She was the daughter of Fewson STEPHENSON and Jane. Regards Victor On 25 Oct 2005 at 12:11, trish michael wrote: > Hi Everyone.
