I'm afraid I have no detailed information regarding this family but I do have a mystery which those who do have Batty's in their FT may be able to help me with. My grandmother who died in 1981 used to talk about an "Aunt Batty" visiting. My grandmother's family lived in Sculcoates, Hull (where she and a sister were born) and later in Rimswell, Withernsea. I would suspect that she meant that this "Aunt" would be visiting her family home and not her home following her marriage to my grandfather. I'm also not sure that she was a 'real' Aunt or an adoptive Aunt. My question therefore is: Has anyone researching the BATTY family found a link to the BARNFATHERs?
