I am searching back for my maternal ancestors as I have come to a brickwall on the paternal side with John VERO in abt 1640 in Staffordshire with the VEROW line. The VEROW/VERO line may have come from Lincolnshire although I have no proof of this, merely a guess as the name is found in LIN & SFK in earlier times. On the maternal side my 2x gtgrandmother was Elizabeth HEALL, bn abt 1805 at Gainsboro' LIN. She married John Davison, [bn abt 1801 in Hull], @ Holy Trinity, Kingston-u-Hull on 5 Sep 1824 according to the IGI. I believe that her parents were John Heall & Jane Gibson and her g'fa was Henry Heale according to IGI christening of 2 sons each named John, the first of whom died aged abt 5 and the 2nd John was chr 16 March 1768. Henry's wife was Jane xxxxxx. I would like to get back beyond 1800, if possible, with the GIBSON line. Have listers any ideas?
