Many thanks Victor for more detail on my addresses at Witham and Sherburn St I take it they are still there and probably within walking distance of each other. The couple had 2 servants in 1901 and I guess they lived there too. The 55 Sherburn St house might be still recognisable. Herbert CRAWSHAW moved on to a variety of 'entrepreneurial' adventures, leaving Edith with two young sons, divorcing, marrying again (and possibly again). I'm recently in touch with a grandson but he does not use the internet. I'll keep gathering all these little clues. Thanks again Valerie
