    3. This is my first posting in this area. It appears that a great uncle of mine Herbert CRAWSHAW spent some time in business in Hull about 1900-1910. At first he worked with his father Edwin in a ' drapery and hosiery 'business I think was called 'Bonanza '. There may have been more than one site. One a least is now possibly a garage. My informer, another relative was shown the place years ago. At marriage Herbert lived at 55 Sherburn Street I wonder if there is anyone with trade directories or phone books that could help me locate more precisely where they were ? Herbert later (1911?) traded in watches as H HAMMOND , Lucerne , Switzerland. This colourful character later worked for Tobler and maybe spent the war years in Switzerland arranging lotteries ! I am fascinated by this strange series of occupations and would like to trace more of his beginnings. He divorced and may have married 3 times in all. Can anyone provide any help from directories or electoral rolls please? Valerie in N Yorks
