SCOTT Clan I am researching my SCOTT family We start off with John Scott 11 July 1883 married Daisy Rookledge in Hull. Daisy and John came to the United States in 1913 John Scott (11 July 1883) was the son of Abraham Scott (1849) Skidby area married to Augusta Ruston. Abraham Scott (1849) was the son of Matthew Scott (25 March 1821) Skidby area married to Ann Elizabeth Wilson. Matthew Scott (25 March 1821) was the son of Matthew Scott (16 July 1793) North Dalton area, married Ann Leighton (Lighton) Matthew Scott (16 July 1793) was the son of John Scott (8 Oct 1765) North Dalton married to Elizabeth Watson John Scott (8 Oct 1765) was the son of John Scott (unknown. abt 1736) North Dalton died 16 September 1809 married to Ann Lyon. This is were my brick wall comes in.. I am unable to prove that John Scott (abt 1736) is the son of Leonard Scott and wife Sarah Jefferson of North Dalton. I have other siblings for several generations but I am interested in exchanging any information with any SCOTT researcher.
