Hi Folks I've recently joined the list and this is my first post. I'm particularly interested in George LEACH, born 1849, married Ada(h) WELBURN on 1st July 1871 at Garton on the Wolds. I'm struggling to find where George was born and when/where he died. George & Ada had a son named George Robert, born 26th August 1872 at Garton on the Wolds. George's father was John LEACH (no details known). I cannot find John, George nor George Robert in any census (with the exception of George Robert in 1901). I can understand how someone could be missing from one census, but not how they can be missing from all censuses. The only explanation I can think of is that both John and George objected to the census, and avoided taking part. However, I am new to all of this and would welcome any other suggestions.
