Hi List, I have just received the death certificate for my G.G. Grand uncle Patrick O'Connor; or at least I hope he is mine! He was born 1826 Co.Down N.Ireland but moved to Hamilton Scotland around 1848 with his three brothers and sister. DETAILS; Died 16.5.1878 aged 52 of Bronchopneumonia. Labourer in an IRON FOUNDRY. Registered by Geo. Waite Master Union Poorhouse Hook Goole. He was married and had 4 children. I can account for one left in the Gateshead area but cannot find his wife Rose nee Fitzpatrick or their oldest daughter Agnes born 1858 Scotland and Thomas born 1865 Gateshead and Mary Ann born 1867 Gateshead on the 1881 census. Would it be possible for someone with access to poor house records to help me to see if she and the children were at the same place please? Any help or advice would be most welcome.
