    3. Hi Valerie, Thanks for this. I'm not sure if W R LAPISH connects to my family, but I will save this information just in case. I first need to find Christiana's birth and find her parents and siblings. All I know at the moment is that Christiana LAPISH was born c1773 and that she married my 4xG Grandfather John RAWLING in Norton in 1799. It seems to me that my LAPISHs were probably born in or around Malton and several then moved to Sculcoates, although some seem to have stayed in Malton. Christiana is an unusual enough name for her baptism to be established if I knew which parish to look at, but there doesn't seem to be anything online at present. Unlike John RAWLING....there seem to be too many of those born c1778 in a 15 mile radius to be sure!! I think it's very likely though that this LAPISH will turn out to be connected in some way.
