    3. Victor, Colin's query is to Howden Price in the parish of Cottingham, hence my suggestion. The modern Haltemprice appears on Morden's map of the East Riding (18th century) as Howdenprice and also on Blaeu's 17th century map of the East Riding as Howdenprice. It's interesting the name was used for the UDC. When was the UDC abolished? I think that Haltemprice was (is?) also used as the name of a parliamentary constituency.
