As a member of the East Yorkshire Family History Society there is access to the East Yorkshire Marriage Index which has comprehensive coverage of this period. www.eyfhs.org.uk Peter B Message: 1 Date: Wed, 19 Mar 2008 17:06:13 EDT From: SCbugs@aol.com Subject: [ENG-EAST-YORKS] William Underwood marriage to Hannah about 1792 To: ENG-EAST-YORKS@rootsweb.com Message-ID: <c61.2954dfb4.3512da45@aol.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" I was looking for the marriage of William Underwood to Hannah about 1792. The first child (William) I know about was christened in Sculcoates on 30 Jun 1793. The second (John) was christened in Kingston Upon Hull on 21 June 1795. The next five were christened in Rowley near Hull. (Joseph, 25 Nov 1797; Hannah, 19 May 1799; James, 5 Jun 1803; Anne, 9 Jun 1805 and George, 24 Dec 1809) The father, William Underwood was buried in Rowley on 11 Nov 1809 at age 51. I found a William Underwood, christened 18 Feb 1758 in Brantingham who might be the same. His father was John. I did not find a marriage on Hugh Wallis' site in Brantingham for William, so I am presuming he married elsewhere. Would someone with the Boyd's marriage index see if there could be a match for William and Hannah? Thank you, Sharon Crowley Reno, Nevada, U.S.A.
