    3. Hello Michael Certificates cost £7 [as long as you have the GRO reference, otherwise I think it is £10] from the General Register Office - http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/. From a family history contact in Jamaica I found out that it costs the equivalent of £7 if you are not in UK. I once made the mistake of giving the address as I knew it, rather than the GRO reference and it cost £10. If it is in Yorkshire, though, you can try the Yorkshire BMD site, and if it is there you print off a form to send to the relevant register office. Best wishes Linda ----- Original Message ----- From: "MICHAEL BLAKE" <michael.blake4@btinternet.com> To: <ENG-EAST-YORKS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, February 24, 2008 3:37 PM Subject: [ENG-EAST-YORKS] Certificates >I wish too apply for a death certificate, as it has been some time since I >last applied for one could someone please tell me how much each certificate >would cost. > Thank you > > Mike > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > ENG-EAST-YORKS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without > the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >

This includes postage worldwide. If you order from a local RO, cost will be £7.00, but most want an SAE for the return. Some now even charge an "admin" (i.e. p&p) fee instead. -- Regards _ / ) "The blindingly obvious is / _)rad never immediately apparent" There's no point in asking you'll get no reply Pretty Vacant - Sex Pistols
