    2. Phil Walton
    3. Hi Maria ancestry.com's index of the 1891 census doesn't throw up a Mabel Rhoades in Hull, but it does give a Mabel (Rose?) KENDALL in Upper Poppleton, near Malton, about the right age. Parents Joseph and Sarah KENDALL and seven siblings. If you want more details let me know. 2. MIKE MELLOR
    3. Hi Chris Thanks for your reply. The date of birth for George BARKER is based on his death certificate (he died in 1870 aged 86) and on the 1851 and 1861 censuses which more or less agree with the death certificate. The only Elizabeth Barker I have in my tree at the moment is through marriage. I've looked through the EYFHS Baptismal (1782-1812) transcription for Bridlington Priory but not found him. Nor does he appear in the IGI. 3. Hi Les No Herbert STRINGFELLOW listed in the ancestry.com index for the 1871 census, but I've found a Herbert STYRING in Sheffield - son of George Henry and Elizabeth - and a Herbert STRINGER in Rotherham - son of Elizabeth, widow. Both are about the right age. The only STRINGFELLOW family in Yorkshire that comes up on the search is in Sheffield - Thomas, head - Mary E, wife - three children under 10 but no Herbert. I searched freebmd.rootsweb.com for Herbert and came up with a birth : Herbert STRINGFELLOW - Sheffield Registration District - Mar 1861 - Volume 9c, Page 389 So I searched the 1861 census and found him with his family - William, head - Ella, wife - and two siblings, in Sheffield. Searching countrywide for William and Ella STRINGFELLOW in the 1871 brings no joy. If you want further details on any of the above, let me know.
