    3. Hi Dennis, I have had a look at this entry for Mary Oman, and it does look like she was illegitimate, as only her mother's name is on the Christening. I have no idea what the Bts means though. It is for Mary Oman, christened in "Scarborough, Bts, Yorkshire" and the name is written as <Oman> Only the mother, Jane, is named. Are the brackets some way of saying she had no father? I had not seen this before. What exactly is Scarborough bts? Dare I ask! If anyone has access to the records, I would love to know if anything more is said. 3. Ann, Hi and thanks very much for your information. I had not come across this website before. The only problem I have is in wondering how accurate it might be. It seems to be an official transcript of IGI information and yet there is a major problem! Looking at Muston Christenings, all four youngsters named are siblings. Mary and Esther were born respectively in 1848 and 1844 and yet this record gives their christenings as the same previous date - 23rd November 1841. 3. Hello Jason, Your mails would bounce back if you tried to send attachments--- the rootsweb groups don't allow attachments. It is always worth a little feedback to keep peoples appetite whetted on your behalf. I think quite a few people rooted round and sent you census images etc. Quite a muddle between Malton and Melton if I recall --- Melton was correct with Malton a mis-transcription on the census image. It is also worth giving as much information as you have, otherwise people trying to help spend time finding out what you already know. You will know if your mails reach the group as you should get a copy back yourrself. I notice the IGI has Mary Wilberforces marriage and birth indexed. It may be worth you looking at the film at one of the LDS church Family History Centres if you have one nearby, quite often there is a little more information available. The films are very cheap to hire. Abraham Scott (1849) was the son of Matthew Scott (25 March 1821) Skidby area married to Ann Elizabeth Wilson. Matthew Scott (25 March 1821) was the son of Matthew Scott (16 July 1793) North Dalton area, married Ann Leighton (Lighton) Matthew Scott (16 July 1793) was the son of John Scott (8 Oct 1765) North Dalton married to Elizabeth Watson John Scott (8 Oct 1765) was the son of John Scott (unknown. abt 1736) North Dalton died 16 September 1809 married to Ann Lyon. This is were my brick wall comes in.. I am unable to prove that John Scott (abt 1736) is the son of Leonard Scott and wife Sarah Jefferson of North Dalton. I have other siblings for several generations but I am interested in exchanging any information with any SCOTT researcher. I am also trying to make the connection of Leonard Scott of North Dalton who married Sarah Jefferson 18 November 1729 and Leonard Scott christened 1700 in Holme upon Spalding Moor. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to ENG-EAST-YORKS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

I have details of William and Catherine's parents and brothers and sisters. Do you have anything more ?
