Hallo Everyone - new member joining. My request is possibly a long shot but I will post it anyway. Through my mother (she's 83 yrs old) I have been given some old photographs which belonged to my Grandmother. We have no idea at all who the people are in them, as it seems in olden days they did not name or date them. Anyway there are one or two which were taken in Colchester. One in particular is of a young boy and this one reads on the back...... For Uncle Willie With Harrys love Underneath it has got written HARRY JESSOP 1 year and 8 months old. I myself come from the Allam/Gray family and cannot find out how this fits in. I have researched this name and on the Free BMD have found a Harry Jessop who was born in Sept 1853 at COLCHESTER ESSEX. Does this name ring any bells with anyone out there? or has anyone any connections ? if so would love to hear from you.
