Dear listers, I am well into a major project to record UK and Irish Balmer families and seek your help to make the section covering southern Britain and overseas countries as comprehensive as possible. The spelling of the name varies widely across the country and across the centuries, a simplified list including: Bailmer, Balamore, Ballimer, Ballmar, Ballmore, Ballomor, Balma, Balmar, Balmer, Balmere, Balmier, Balmoor, Balmore, Balmour, Balmur, Balmyre, Bamas, Bammer, Bamor, Barimer, Barlmer, Barmer, Barmoor, Barmore, Barramoore, Baulmer, Baumer, Bawmer, Belmer, Boarmore, Bollamore, Bolmer. I ask anybody with knowledge of these families to contact me off-list. The work will initially be posted to the net in seven parts.
