    3. My mother always said I was found under a cabbage leaf, so anything's possible! (My birth cert. belies the story, though....) Regards, David C Kindred Toronto, Canada From: "Terence Powling" <tjp@globalnet.co.uk> To: ENG-EAST-ANGLIA-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [EEA] Bury St. Edmunds Date: Sat, 10 Mar 2001 11:52:57 -0000 I have a birth certificate (for William BANHAM, b.1847) where the place of birth and the residence of father is slightly indecipherable but seems to be: TRAVERSE MEAT MARKET, Bury St.Edmunds. Can anyone tell me what this might be? Why would someone be born in a meat market?
