My grandmother, Hannah CROWE, was born at North Cove, Suffolk which is close to the sea and to the Norfolk border. I am writing a book which includes all I can find of her life. Since I live in the USA, inland, there is much I do not know about what her life as a child would have been like in North Cove. She was born in 1869 and was sent to Ipswich to St. John's Orphanage/School when she was almost eight years old. Her father had been a fisherman, but is occasionally is listed as an agricultural labourer. I am in need of someone to tell me what she might have experienced and seen as a young child in that area. I am also interested in what her father, William CROWE, would have done as a fisherman--how he would have gone to the fishing boat etc. Any information that anyone can give me will not only be appreciated by myself, but a very large family of relatives who are interested in this history. Thank you. Lila Eubanks
