    3. There is a fascinating book about Wortham by a former clergyman of the parish. It is called The Biography of a Victorian Village, Wortham, Suffolk, 1860 and is by Richard Cobbold. Lots of details about interesting locals plus paintings of them done by himself. Suffolk County Council also produce booklets about each village which are obtainable from the Record Office for a few pounds each. They contain extracts from 19th century directories, a survey of parish history and, usually, o/s maps of the village. You can find the address online by looking up Suffolk County Council, Libraries and Heritage.
