William Lee's Enquiry into the Sewerage, Drainage and Supply of Water, and the Sanitary Condition of the Inhabitants of the Borough of King's Lynn, 1853, provides an uncomfortable reminder of the appalling conditions in which townspeople lived in the mid 19th century. A transcript is on-line at: http://pws.prserv.net/Kings.Lynn where you should select the 'What's new' button from the navigation bar. It should be straightforward after that.
