Dear Dave, I may have a WALKER connection for you - Mary CAWTHORN, d. of John & Martha CAWTHORN, [my Gt Gt Gt Gt Grandparents] bp 1806 at Emneth; had an ill. son, Joseph CAWTHORN, bp at Emneth, 1825. Later that same year, 11 September 1825, she marries James WALKER of Emneth. They have another son, John, bn 1827. On the 1851 Census, this family are living at Elm, nr Wisbech. (I think I may have found them on the 1891 Census fiche, but the handwriting takes a lot of reading! - will have to check my 1881 CD as well) I'm trying to track this Joseph CAWTHORN down, but does this WALKER family feature in your research? I have just joined this list as I have found a Norfolk connection. Does anyone have any info on Elizabeth NEWMAN, born in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, about 1843. She married Mark CLARKE in 1842. from Caroline Barrett. caroline99@btinternet.com
Currently I am trying to find information on the surname LOUGILL in Methwold, Norfolk, 1700's or earlier. All that I can find is the single entry of the marriage of Ann LOUGILL to George BELL in 1728. They seem to be a very rare breed <grin> Peter South Australia

Dear Friends, Is there some body who could spare some time to check what years the Revd. James Wilson Davy BROWN was Vicar of Assington, Suffolk? He features in a little mystery surrounding a member of my family - it's nothing sinister! Iain, in Cumbria, UK
I was hoping that SKS out there could help me, I am looking for a wedding that happened in Great Yarmouth around 1890, The church that I have is St Nicholas, The bride was HELEN? CREASEY and the groom was WALTER PEPPERDAY PARKINSON, These are my great grandparents, my aunt and mother seem to remember that they were told that Helen married 'beneath herself" by marring my great grandfather, so they apparently ran away to get married! I need help with Helen's father as I have no name to go on yet, the reason that I would like this is there was supposed to have been a murder on the CREASEY side of the family, all my mum can remember is that her Granddad Walter told her this and it involved a Frying pan, so any info on how to find this would also be very helpful Best wishes Karen Researching,COLBON,PARKINSON,BRANSON,EUSTACE and SCOTT
