I have today uploaded the entries for surnames beginning with T. All entries for surnames beginning with A through T should now be accessible from: http://pws.prserv.net/Kings.Lynn where you should select the '1873 owners of land' button. It should be straightforward after that - if not it is because the providers of the web space which I am using are upgrading their server and some of my links may need revising. Good luck with your searches. Rosemary Rodliffe NFHS 5151
I have today uploaded the entries for surnames beginning with S. Hi all The Wisbech Index is and index of parish register transcripts that I have in my possession. At this point, only half of the transcripts are in the index. There will be no further updates to the index until early July this year. For those people who have already visited this index, please take note that I have updated the index, by adding baptisms and burials for Elm and baptisms for Walsoken. The Wisbech Index now has 6281 names. Please note that this index contains selected records from various parishes, it is not a complete coverage, apart from Walpole St. Andrew for a certain time periods. Howard Thanks for the encouragement. All is transcribed and uploaded but I have yet to put all the links in place. I have been on a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostella and had insufficient time to complete them. I am working on it. Following 5 weeks off-line due hardware failure, re-posting interests. Thanks to Lisa & Paula for removing me from lists temporarily. Despite that, still received 800+ e-mails which I deleted. Apologies to those that sent direct but just didn't have the time to wade thro'. Also lost most addresses but will catch up at some point. For the benefit of Norfolk, commenced transcribing Martham censuses which will be sent to Geoff in due course. Whilst searching for my JACKSONs at Elm Churchyard over the weekend I came across a most unusual christian name. Inscribed on a large red granite obelisk -- in memory of Human WARREN husband of Susannah WARREN. He died 8 December 1921 aged 70. Has anyone else seen this used as a given name? Does anyone claim him? I am not researching this name but thought it may be of interest to the list. Would be interested in hearing from any listers researching JACKSONs in the Hethersett area. In particular, ancestors/descendants of Robert JACKSON b.1862 d. Nov 23 1935 m. Sarah Ellen ___? b. Gt. Melton. 1881 census shows him at Melton Road, Hethersett. One of their children Ethel b. 1900 went on to marry Sidney LISTER b. 1894 at Elm. Ashley Lister E-Mail ARL@lister7.fsnet.co.uk OR Willis@lister7.fsnet.co.uk.
