    1. [EEA] Seadon/Seaden Family
    2. Don Shadick
    3. Hello, I am new to this list, however have spent the past two years doing Seadon/Seaden surname family research. The Seadon/Seadon family originated in the Bury St.Edmunds-Woolpit-Elmswell area of Suffolk County. Would some kind soul help if they have either the 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871 British Census and provide the few Seadon/Seaden entries with sources which are on any of the Census? I would be grateful for the assistance as here in Florida I am unable to access the British Census. Sincerely, Rita (nee Seadon) Shadick, Ft. Lauderdale

    3. Dear All I am reposting my BRITTON interests after a break of some months - I have been very successful in discovering the Aussie side of the family - now I am looking a little closer to home ...( and sometimes the name had been written as BRITTAIN.) My Gt Grandfather, Thomas Frederick BRITTON, had four siblings - and I am searching for information on two brothers George BRITTON born Tattingstone, Suffolk 1873 Robert Edward BRITTON born Stowmarket 1877 George married Nell and had 4 children - Mabel - married Cecil HURRELL - 2 daughters, Doreen and Maureen William - married Violet - one son Dennis BRITTON Leonard - married Millie - 2 daus (Christine and Marjorie) and one son Paul Albert - married Edith - one son, one daughter I would guess that the children of these four would now be in their 60's ?? Any links with any readers ? All enquiries welcome - many thanks Chris Bailey Norwich UK

    3. Hi Lists Thought I'd repost my interests sorry for any cross postings as I wanted to make sure as many possibility were covered as possible. Looking for family links to siblings Emma LAWRENCE b 1860 m. Alfred PRESSLAND from Surrey in 1886 in (Cambridge?) Edward LAWRANCE b. 1866 m. Alice MABSON of Ipswich, Suffolk in 1898 in Fulham. Their father has been reported to be the Chief of coast guards for East Anglia. Their father's first name (Samuel?) and CAVE is a possible link as well. Emma and Alfred's family is still in Surrey. Edward and Alice immigrated to Canada about 1901-1905. Edward is my grt grandfather and I believe he served in the Army both while in England and once he was in Canada. Edward's was also trained to be a painter/decorator and may have been born in Hayes, although the 1881 census does not list him with his family and therefore would require a 1871 census for verification. If any one has ready access to any records that could pin these two down to get a better idea of where I might start my requests for record it would be greatly appreciated. If any one has these siblings in the family records, please contact me. Thanks for any help Theresa Goss BC, Canada

I would however appreciate a response at your earliest convenience. Another question: I have recently unsubscribed from Norfolk D from which site I received something like 20 to 30 messages per day. I have received very little from this site since subscribing and wondered if you would comment. Perhaps there is something that I have overlooked. 2. peter.matthews6
    3. New subscriber researching the above subject born 1840. Great Yarmouth and Norwich record offices have no record of him being born in Great Yarmouth despite the 1881 census stating otherwise. The IGI states that there was an Archer Edward Leeder born at Holton in 1840 (and oddly, christened there in 1839!) and so if there is anyone among my newly acquired fellow Suffolk researchers that can throw any light on my search it would be appreciated. Does anyone know if the christian name Archer is a derivation of Archibald as it is really the latter that I am after. peter.matthews6 E-mail Address(es): peter.matthews6@ntlworld.com

I'd appreciate knowing if she was a widow- that would help me with my search Then if anyone lives near St. Germans, Norfolk, could they tell me someone I could connect with to see if she is buried in the church of St. Mark the Virgin ? This sems a lot to ask, but I'm being hopeful!! Thanks Faith
