Hello all, Does anyone have access to the 1851 census index for Stranton ( later known as West Hartlepool)? I would be grateful if you could search for me the following. William Smith married to a Catherine (formerley Howell). Could you let me have their details and any children that may appear with them. As Howell is a new name, if there are any other Howells living there. Thanks Colin Smith
According to my copy of Cleveland FHS transcription there are no Howells listed. Nor a Catherine Smith, what age would your William? There is one aged 29 place of birth Aycliffe probably married to a Jane aged 21 pob Middleton. ----- Original Message ----- From: <CLACTON57@aol.com> To: <ENG-DURHAM-YORKS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 03, 2003 6:30 PM Subject: [D'hamYorks] Stranton (later known as West Hartlepool) > Hello all, > > Does anyone have access to the 1851 census index for Stranton ( later known > as West Hartlepool)?
