Hi, Bill, I have a collateral line for RAINE, through COWLING,with limited informaton. James RAINE, married Doris COWLING (b. 26 OCT 1906 at Cornforth; Co. Durham;parents Walter COWLING and Barbara Ellen HODGSON); in the 3rd qtr. of 1927 at the Sedgefield District. Children were/are: James Raine, b.10 Dec 1929, Cornforth Leslie RAINE, b. 25 June 1931, Cornforth Doris RAINE, b. 05 Jan 1934, Cornforth Norman RAINE, b. 11 May 1935, Cornforth Robert William RAINE, b. 28 Sept 1936, Cornforth Anne RAINE, b. 11 Nov 1943, Cornforth There is also a Ronald COWLIING, b. 04 Mar 1934 as a natural son of the jr. James, but this doesn't make sense, so I'll have to recheck the information sent by Joan BARKER from Whitby, a cousin though COWLING. Her letters were chock full of her research and I'm sure I made a few mistakes in transcribing. Do you see anything familiar?
