Hi Brian, Thankyou for taking interest and asking your mother in law about Dent's in Barningham, please thank her for me. I think most of them had died or had moved from the area to County Durham by the late 1800's. The ones you mention could be of interest,I will investigate, but my ancestors seem to be from the Scargill and Hope side of the village. Other names of interest from Barningham are Head, Harper, Frier and Thompson. Thanks again Mark Dent Leeds >From: brian.lund1@btopenworld.com >Reply-To: ENG-DURHAM-YORKS-L@rootsweb.com >To: ENG-DURHAM-YORKS-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [D'hamYorks] Dent family from Barningham >Date: Thu, 20 Mar 2003 18:36:34 +0000 (GMT) > >Hi There, > >I couldn't help but notice the reference to Barningham as my wifes family >came from that village.
