Hi Diane, I was intrigued by your e-mail. I have an friend whose grandfather had a chemist shop in Liverpool, and he sold the fly papers to Florence Maybrick, the arsenic from which was used to poison her husband. He tells me that Florence was sentenced to death for the murder of her husband, but was later reprieved. He believes that she left England and remarried in the USA. Apparently a paperback book was published about 7 years ago about this and there is even a photo of the Chemist shop from which the fly papers were purchased in the book. The reason that I am interested in her is because she had an affair with one of my husband's relations HENRY STANLEY FLINN. I am trying to find the family of their illegitimate son William. William was adopted by a family called GRAHAM in Hartlepool Durham United Kingdom. > > Her married name was MAYBRICK, her husband was James Maybrick. > > In the 1881 census, the GRAHAM family were living at > > 7 York Pl > Hartlepool > Durham > England > > Florie was born in 1862 and Henry in 1858.
