Could SKS please do a 1871 census lookup for Todd Well House, Ingleton, near Staindrop?? I'm looking for a William WHITE aged 73 and wife Ann aged 72. I know I'm related but not sure how!! I thankfully received the MI today from Mike Hutchinson as follows In the South West section commencing at north end at wall No 97 "In affectionate remembrance of William WHITE of Todd Well House who d 9 Nov 1877 aged 79 yrs. 2 lines text. Also Ann wid of the above who d 1 Oct 1885 aged 87 yrs". I have this info from 1881 Dwelling: Pouwells House Census Place: Ingleton, Durham, England Source: FHL Film 1342185 PRO Ref RG11 Piece 4931 Folio 89 Page 11 Marr Age Sex Birthplace John HALL M 27 M Hutton Rudby, York, England Rel: Head Occ: Farmer Of 14 Acres Mary HALL M 25 F Langton, Durham, England Rel: Wife George W. HALL 1 M Pouwells House, Durham, England Rel: Son Ann WHITE W 82 F Mickleton, York, England Rel: Grand Mother Occ: Annuitant 1881 British Census John HALL was my g grandfather and it reads as though Ann WHITE is his grandmother. However he was from Hutton Rudby and Mary's maiden name was WHITE. Wondering if its a transcript error? If there are any researchers looking at WHITE in this area I would be greatful to hear from them too Any help will be greatly appreciated Kind Regards David Hall
