Looking for descendants of Robert 37 and Elizabeth 33 Dawson. Robert, a blacksmith, was born in Rillington, Yks., 1844. On 1881 census Robert and Elizabeth had Jessie 12, and Evelyn 4. Same children listed in 1891. By 1901, Robert age 57 is living with Evelyn age 24 in Gateshead. He is a Brass Finisher, and she is a Trained Certificated Teacher. Robert had twin brother, William, a coal miner, who settled in Hetton-le-Hole. On 1881 Wm. 37 & Mary Jane 37 had children Alice Porter 11, Frederick Wm. 9, and Hubert Thomas 6. I was unable to find William on the 1891 or 1901, but did find a couple of William Dawsons on the mine accident list on Durham Mining Museum site. Any connections? Regards, Linda in So.
