Hello Pat, That's very kind of you. William Thompson Kay was married in Liverpool in 1870 to Margaret Green. They raised their family in Toxteth Park, and pressumably he died there too. He is my gggrandfather. According to FreeBMD, the only William Thompson Kay born after 1837 was one who was registered in Stockton district Sept quater of 1853. The 1881 cencus ties in with this date of birth. And with having his full name already, I'm happy to take this as being the right person. However, on the census it is said that he was born in Liverpool (perhaps he had lived in Liverpool so long he had forgotten!). If it is possible to find anything from this, that would be great. But as I have no parent's or sibbling names, or address, then I don't know what can be done. I'll leave it with you, and perhaps prey for a miracle! Kind regards, Helen
