My ancestors lived in or near Leeds at the end of the 18th century and up until about 1850. GGGrandfather Thomas Ferguson was Christened at St Peters parish Church in 1798 and most of his 8 children were also Christened there as follows: Matilda (1831) Mary Ann (1833) William Dawson (1836) George G. (1839) - my GGrandfather Charlotte (1841) Emma (1843) There were also 2 other siblings who were born in London but grew up in Leeds: Elizabeth Bashford (1826) John (1828) George G. came to the United Stated before 1861.
