my 1st posting to list looking for connections to HENRIETTA CHARLOTTE KNOWLSON bn 1886 partnered WILLIAM ROE bn 1884 both Hartlepool births.They married in May 1942 at Birkenhead,Cheshire presumebly when Williams 1st wife died.Henriettas parents were MARY ISSABELLA WILKIE bn abt 1865 and RICHARD ROBINSON KNOWLSON bn abt 1865.They married at Hartlepool registry office 1883 witnesses to marriage were RICHARD JEFFARES and MARGARET SPARKES.Richard knowlsons ftr was a JOHN KNOWLSON greengrocer at 36? High st,Hartlepool. My problem is that in the 1881 census Richard Knowlson is living at 3 Lumly sq with his ftr JOHN KNOWLSON a Police Sgt.mtr LOUISA KNOWLSON believed nee ROBINSON and Sister JANE KNOWLSON.Question ? are these JOHN KNOWLSON,S the same ie greengrocer and police sgt? MARY WILKIE was shown living at the arches 8 Friar Terrace with her mtr AGNES WILKIE nee ?? in the 1881 census.HER ftr BENJAMIN WILKIE a seaman was deceased in 1881.? when did he die?
