    2. Hi Ruth Your names don't ring any bells. But they saying that I haven't found a link yet. I have just posted a list of the Barkers on the Durham/Yorks Mailing List. I have a black leather bound book which was printed and given to all the descendants of William Barker. This was in 1913/14....so I don't think your Barkers are my Barkers as they would have been listed in the book. The book is marvellous as it has actual photographs of the descendants. I am keen to find others with copies....hopeful they will be out there somewhere. Also did you know that the familysearch.org have now got the 1881 British Census, 1880 USA Census and 1881 Canadian Census online. All the best in your research, and you never know, we maybe in touch again. Johanna on 15/11/02 22:13, Joseph A. & Ruth O. 3. Hello, Joanna, Thank you for your posting. I have copied it and am sending to my cousin, Joan BARKER of Whitby, since she is researching the BARKER family. We are related through a COWLING line. I am always on the look-out for her and she has helped me immeasurably with my OLIVERs. Thanks, again! Ruth

    2. Hi Ruth I am pretty sure we will be able to connect up with the Whitby connection as some Barker descendants lived in Glaisdale. Johanna Cotter on 16/11/02 15:06, Joseph A. & Ruth O.
