    3. Hi, Nancy, I don't know to whom you were directing your q ueation, but I'll answer it since I am looking for a BODDY. Allice Oliver, b/1882, Hurworth, was found as a witness on her parent's death cert. as Alice BODDY. The address for her mother's death in 1919 was Francis St., Bishop Auckland. Her father died at 12 Silver St. in 1915. I'm not certain on which cert. Alice was named. That is the only information I have about the BODDY. GAunt Alice was also married, later , to a GRIFFITH, having a son James Griffith, and died Alice GRAY in B.C. (1964), where she lived in New Westminster. Best wishes. 3. No, Pam, I havn't heard that, but it's quite logical. The RAINE family I have is a collteral line, with information beginning in1927, when James Raine married Doris COWLING from West Cornforth. All the children were b. in Cornforth. Thanks for your posting. Ruth

    1. [D'hamYorks] Names Interests: RAINE
    2. Joseph A. & Ruth O. Ryan
    3. Hi, Bill, I have a collateral line for RAINE, through COWLING,with limited informaton. James RAINE, married Doris COWLING (b. 26 OCT 1906 at Cornforth; Co. Durham;parents Walter COWLING and Barbara Ellen HODGSON); in the 3rd qtr. of 1927 at the Sedgefield District. Children were/are: James Raine, b.10 Dec 1929, Cornforth Leslie RAINE, b. 25 June 1931, Cornforth Doris RAINE, b. 05 Jan 1934, Cornforth Norman RAINE, b. 11 May 1935, Cornforth Robert William RAINE, b. 28 Sept 1936, Cornforth Anne RAINE, b. 11 Nov 1943, Cornforth There is also a Ronald COWLIING, b. 04 Mar 1934 as a natural son of the jr. James, but this doesn't make sense, so I'll have to recheck the information sent by Joan BARKER from Whitby, a cousin though COWLING. Her letters were chock full of her research and I'm sure I made a few mistakes in transcribing. Do you see anything familiar? 2. Hello, Have been told the name of RAINE and RAINEY were from the same family as RENNIE, RENNEY and RENNY, many years ago, and were copied down incorrectly, have you heard that ? RENNIE is originally from Scotland, and have heard it was from the Norman names of RENAUD and RENAUX after 1066. Cheers, Pam [ RENNEY ] McKinley in Arizona.

    3. Hi I am having difficulties find info on my grandfather ALBERT THOMPSON who lived in West Hartlepool from 1914 until his death in 1951. I have a strange request. One avenue I have not checked on is his membership of a club for birds. Is there a list or does anyone know of such a club in West Hartlepool in the 1930's and 40's. My grandfather was a lover of canaries. Thanks a lot Anne Thompson
