Hi List, My great grandparents were married in Liverpool, and brought their family up in Liverpool. However, on the BMD the only William Thompson Kay birth is for 1853 Stockton registration. I'm happy to accept this, as I had his full name from a certificate, and I can't imagine that there would be many other boys given the same name. The date would make him about 17 or 18 years old when he got married to Margaret Green, which wasn't unheard of. So, can anyone shed any light on William, his sibblings or his parents? Perhaps from the appropriate census? Eternally greatfull for any help!, Helen

Dear Raymond, The Armstrongs, I am unsure where in Durham they came from. The Corcorans are said to have originated in Ireland but when is the question I have yet to find. My grandmother Mary Agnes Corcoran was born in Sunderland Durham in 1902. Her father was James Joseph Corcoran and her mother was Anne Stanley. Cousins have said they came from Ireland but the 1901 census of Sunderland yielded no sign of this family so I am now back to square one, with no idea of the age of my great grandfather - james to even get a starting link. cheers, Ann

Hello, I am interested in knowing the background of Archibald Ramage who married Smithson Peverell in October 1750. At that time they were in County Durham. Have not been able to know where they were born. Also interested to know about the line that they produced. Thank you, MS Ramage
My ancestors lived in or near Leeds at the end of the 18th century and up until about 1850. GGGrandfather Thomas Ferguson was Christened at St Peters parish Church in 1798 and most of his 8 children were also Christened there as follows: Matilda (1831) Mary Ann (1833) William Dawson (1836) George G. (1839) - my GGrandfather Charlotte (1841) Emma (1843) There were also 2 other siblings who were born in London but grew up in Leeds: Elizabeth Bashford (1826) John (1828) George G. came to the United Stated before 1861. I'm looking for information on his siblings and their descendants, some of whom probably stayed in Yorkshire. Any help would be appreciated. Earl Ferguson Atlanta, GA USA
Hello everyone, I am researching my Kay family. William Thompson Kay (my gggrandfather) b1853 in the regisration district of Stockton. The only thing I know about him is that he married Margaret Green in 1870 in West Derby district, and raised a family in Toxteth. Are any of you also researching William? Alternately, would someone be able to look on the 1861 census for him and his family? I would very much appreciate any help. Kind regards, Helen

#2 [D'hamYorks] Twyzell Johnson ["Rose Morrison" #3 [D'hamYorks] ______________________________ Hi I researched the surname Blench a few months since, one of the Blenchs not connected to my Blench line was a Mary Blench who married an Innes. Mary Blench's mother'd maiden name was Wheatley and some of the Blench/Wheatley families lived at a place named Twyzell. Could your Twyzell Johnson be a connection to this family? Here is some of the information I have. Thomas Wheatley BLENCH (AFN: 2XGH-W5)
Dear Ken, When I find my book of pictures I will send some to you the Square does not exist any more it was near to the Parish Church in fact in the 1920's my mother lived on the Square. I am not sure about Shaftsbury Street as in the last 10 years there has been a lot of redevelopment. Dear Rose, I know nothing of your family but I was born and brought up in Stockton on Tees.
