Can i suggest the following website - http://www.mts.net/~bydesign/RUS/Guide.htm - it lists a number of useful websites for family historians prepared by family history group in Lancashire but is certainly not exclusive to that area ... Also can i suggest the text 'Ancestral Trails' by Mark D. Herber (new addition) as a wonderful resource on researching family history in the united kingdom ... many may already have a copy of their own or have a copy they can access readily and will probably testify as to its merit ... I came across it recently in Australia and use it all the time ... it's truly an awesome book ... certainly the best i've ever come across re: family history/genealogy I have no financial or other interest in either the website or book - just thought I would let others know how great both are.
