Hi List, I have a James Lowther born Whitehaven 1818 a coalminer. He moved across from Cumberland in the 1850s and was on the 1861 census with his family at Hobsons Colliery, Tanfield. By 1871 they were living at Kibblesworth, Lamesley and on the 1881 at Brandon Colliery. James Lowther's daughter Ann married James Buckley (born1838 Bury, Lancs.) at Tanfield in 1864 both of Shied Row. After the marriage they lived first at Cragghead then in 1871 they were also at Kibblesworth. Would love to hear from anyone else researching these families. Michael
