She had an illegitimate son in 1815. In the Chester-le-Street parish registers, I have found two COLLING families in Fatfield (c.1780 -1800) but neither of these have an ANN. I.G.I. tells me that an Ann COLLING was born in Chester-le-Street c.1786 but I can not find her. Any suggestions? Margaret (nee Colling) My best suggestion is - check the original registers, or microfilm copies of them. Do not be side-tracked into using transcripts, not even "good" ones, and certainly not poor-quality ones such as the IGI. That's the only way to be certain! .
