    1. [ENG-DUR] St Nicholas, Durham
    2. I'm trying to trace all 18-19th century NRY, DUR and NBL MARLBOROUGHs and hook them to the correct family. To that end I've been looking at the PR's for Stockton St Thomas which lists a family I hadn't come across before. Helpfully it listed the place of birth of the parents on the baptism. So I need to know about a George MARLBOROUGH (variant MALBROUGH) who was "native of the parish of St Nicholas, Durham" and also "native of Hall Garth in the county of Durham". I had a quick look and the baptisms for St Nicholas are on the IGI but there are no MARLBOROUGHs or even anything like it. Here's the question. Where would I look for a baptism for my George c. 1764, if he wasn't baptised at St. Nicholas's? Irene
