Seeing Helen's posting with the web site prompted me to have another look for an ALDERSON/HINDMARSH marriage in 1845. I have been unable to locate it in the GRO indexes, and think it must be one of those that has an error. I can find the bride, but not the groom. However, such was not the case with the Durham indexes, and I have now ordered the certificate, and this morning receiving confirmation that my order has been processed.
