I am researching on my maternal side for the HALL family, in particular Robert HALL born about 1530 in Stanley, Dur, Eng, his spouse is unknown but they had at least one child, a son William Hall, b. abt. 1558 in Lanchester, Dur. William married abt. 1590 to Alice TEMPEST b. abt 1560 they to had at least one son, Robert HALL b. abt.1593 in Lanchester he died 1670 in Stanhope, Dur. Abt. 1620 he marr. Anne Carter b. abt 1595. In Jul. 1625 he again married a Margaret WATT b. abt 1600 they had at least five children, John b. abt 1629, Robert b. 20 Feb 1631 who marr. Margaret (surname unknown), Margaret b. abt1633 d. I Jan 1634, Ann b. abt 1635 d. 1638, Thomas b abt. 1639 d. 1642, all in Stanhope, Durham. My wife is descended from the Robert b. 1631 who marr. 1660 in Stanhope to Margaret(no name) who was born abt 1633 in Stanhope. They had at least three childen, Robert b. 1661 who Marr. Jane Maddison b. 10 Jan 1677 in Stanhope, John b. 24 Apr 1664 and Jane b. 1666 d. 1668. Robert and Jane were marr. 22 Aug 1695, and they had six children, Robert b. abt. 1697, Lowinger b. abt 1699 who marr. Mary(no Name) b. abt 1705 d. 6 May 1763, John b. abt 1704, Isobel b. abt 1706, Thomas b. abt 1708 and George b. abt 1715. Lowinger and Mary had Mary b. abt 1729,Jane b. abt. 1733, Lowinger b. 7 Nov 1740 d. abt 1796 marr 1765 to Margaret DODDS b. abt 1744 Stanhope, William b. 1743 d. 1800. Lowinger and Margaret had John b. abt1766, Lowinger b. 29 Jun 1772, Thomas b. 12 May 1775, Margaret HALL b.20 May 1778, all born in Stanhope. Margaret b. 1778 marr.16 Nov 1799 to John HOGGARTH b. abt 1768 in Shap, Westmoreland, they had at least one daughter Sarah HOGGARTH b.28 Jul 1800 who on 28 Mar 1824 married a John JOBLING Do any of these names match your family?
