    3. Anyone have any idea whether and where Darlington newspapers from 1866 and 1897 might be kept? I'm looking for obituaries of Randolph FEARNLEY (d. 24 Aug 1866 in Bradford, but he lived in Darlington for 20 years and worked for Henry Pease & Co.) and his son Edward (d. June qtr 1897). Thanks, Rob Rob Welbourn 24 Wilde Road, Waban MA 02468-1325, USA Tel +1-617-558 0182 -- Mobile +1-617-510 5354 http://www.welbourn.com

    3. The best way to find newspapers is to search the British Library Online Catalogue at http://www.bl.uk/catalogues/newspapers.html You can search by place and date. You can then ask them to do a search for you, or, probably cheaper, ask the record office or library in Darlington if they have back copies on film and will photocopy a page for you.
