Greetings I'm looking for more information on Ann Iley (or her forbears). She married into my wife's family - marrying an Edward Deighton from Brough (Westmorland). They lived at Wolsingham for a while and then he took her back to Brough. They had a son called Joseph William. Her parents were Joseph Iley (b 1791 ish) and Isabella Something-or-other (b 1799 ish) Here is the information I have so far :- 1851 census - age 12 - Scholar - Causeway, Wolsingham On Joseph William's birth certificate (13/8/1870) address is Backlane, Wolsingham 1871 census - age 32 - living Back Lane, Wolsingham 1881 census - age 42 - lodging with husband & son - Sunniside, Crook & Billy Row, Durham 1891 census - age 52 - 50, Up Market Street, Brough - name given as 'Annie' 1901 census - age 61 - (name 'Annie') - Church Brough Does anyone have birth / christening details for Ann - or marriage details for Ann and Edward Deighton (son born 1870) - or marriage details for Joseph & Isabella - or anything earlier ?? Family rumour says Ann and Edward had other children 'who did not survive' - where can I get clues to investigate this ? I'll have a closer scan of Wolsingham in the 1841 census for Ann and her parents - and for Wolsingham and Brough in 1861 for Ann - in about 2 weeks time (clues would be welcome !!). All the best John Tillotson
