This is a transcription I copied from records at Bolbec Hall, (Northumberland and Durham Family History Society) If you are not a member, it is well worth joining, if you are doing research in this area Monumental Inscriptions "All Saints Church Penshaw" (Rectory side of path) "Barrass" Edward, Overman of "Penshaw Colliery" d 8/3/1825 aged ( ?) --- son "Thomas"d 8/3/1825 aged 22, son "William" d 15/12/18? Widow "Ann", w a / n "Edward" d 29/10/1851 aged 85 Penshaw is accross the river from "Harraton" people used to row accross, there is a bridge there now!
