Does anyone out there know if Blackwell is in or around Darlington? Also, does anyone know any history of the Whessoe Lane, now Whessoe Rd in Darlington. Specifically looking at the Rise Carr Hotel. A Harrison owned and ran it in my family. Seems to have been in the paper lately for a fight between a pub manager and a patron, the patron fell, hit his head and died after not recovering from a coma.
