Hi all I'm looking for anyone who may be researching these families or may be able to help, it's one of my brick walls. I have Joseph SA(U)NDERS and Isabella TURNER marrying 26/3/1808 Gateshead, Durham, England. ( possible 3xg/grandparents). On the marriage Joseph appears as SANDERS on the birth of the children he appears as SAUNDERS. No info of parents of either one Only children of this couple found so far are, Catherine b 4/11/1808, Chr 4/11/1808 Gateshead (I believe this is my 2xg/grandmother) Anne b 4/11/1808, Chr 4/11/1808 Gateshead Mary b 21/12/1809, Chr 11/2/1810 Gateshead Catherine married Ephraim RYLES in 1830 Newcastle, England. They immigrated to Australia in 1849 with several children. As the ofspring grew and married in Aust there appeared to be a few sets of twins born over the years. I have quite a bit of info on the Aussie side but can't seem to get anywhere with English part of the history. Also looking for info or help with the parents of Ephraim. They are Aaron RYLES and Margaret WRIGHT, married 1810 All Saints, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Known Children are Ephraim b 1811, Esther b circa 1813 Chr 6/6/1813. Other possible children Amy Jane, Elijah, George, Julia Ann. At the time of Ephraim's birth Aaron was a potter od Stoke on Trent. Margaret's father was Joseph WRIGHT, Waterman of Whickham. But that is as far as I've been able to get to. They seemed to have dozens of children those days and I would love to be able to find the siblings of Catherine and Ephraim.
