Dear List: I just found my G Grandfather, William Wraith, on a ships log. The SS City of New York, July 27, 1863, Pg. #1. There are a couple of other names I need to connect. List reads as follows: (Were they related?) Line 23: Thomas Wraith age 39 or 59 can't make it out. Farmer. Don't know who he was. -------------------------------------------------- Line 24: John Wallace age 27 farmer Line 25: Anne " age 24 wife Line 26: Anne " age 6 child Line 27 Sarah " age 5 child Line 28 Eliza " age Infant child There's a mention of the Wallace's on an old Christmas list of my Mother's and also a mention of a Wallace on some notes, of my Aunts. ------------------------------------------------------ Line 29: William Wraith age 21 miner Line 30: Eliza age 24 wife Line 31 Robert Infant William was my G Grandfather. Eliza was my G Grandfathers first wife. (Eliza "Bessie" Whitfield) I think he was from Penshaw, Co. Durham. Is there a mention of them on the 1851 Census?
