    3. Hi Irene Try sending an e-mail to Harry. He is deeply involved in the Durham Constabulary records. I'm sure he will try and help if he is able. He will definitely be able to tell you if there are any records in existence. Also have you tried the newspapers of that time if he was a prisoner his court appearance may be in. Justice was swift in those days. A friend of mine had a relative arrested for murder in November and hung in Durham Prison at end of December. harry.wynne@virgin.net Tony Surtees tsurt@btinternet.com >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I have found one of mine enumerated in 1861 at the police station in Seaham Harbour with relationship as "prisoner". He was 20 years old and a bottle maker. Would there be any records relating to this incarceration? If so, where to look? Since it was only the police station, would this probably be "drunk and disorderly" or the like? Or is it possible he was here pending more serious proceedings? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Irene
