I have found one of mine enumerated in 1861 at the police station in Seaham Harbour with relationship as "prisoner". He was 20 years old and a bottle maker. Would there be any records relating to this incarceration? If so, where to look? Since it was only the police station, would this probably be "drunk and disorderly" or the like? Or is it possible he was here pending more serious proceedings? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Irene

Irene<< You might check with the Black Sheep Society, altho he may have had to break his bottles over several customers' heads and then disembowel them with the broken end to be eligible for that group. (Sorry, been reading far too much about my Reiving Reveleys in the A2A. ;-) Sarah
